Thanks everyone. I have pretty much made up my mind to just leave it alone for now. If they ask, I will probably tell them. But the chances of that are pretty slim.

Do you still attend meetings?
by Sassenach ini'm wondering if you still attend meetings?
do you hold out hope for the watchtower organization?
if you've left entirely, have you found another form of worship?

No longer a need for a mediator?
by ianao in(sorry to interrupt your peaceful day).. i just had an interesting talk with a jw friend of mine.

Wendy,
BTW, I promise no preaching just sharing. Don't believe in the other.

Just don't want to crowd up the forum. -

Wendy,
My husband and I do believe in a future. But it isn't heaven or what the witnesses teach. If you would like to email privately it would be nice to share.
I agree, it is nice to think there is something.

taking the long view
by amicus innot often have i regretted being an inactive jw.
today though, i heard a true story i would have loved to use as an "effective introduction" in a talk.
it seems two southern gentlemen were out frog gigging in a very remote area.

Amicus,
Cool to meet someone who apparently will try anything. I love trying all kinds of things. My husband pretty much will too.
I have had beaver tail. That wasn't so hot. But maybe I just didn't do it right.
Garlic and onions always fixes anything.
Gator' tail sounds interesting. But where to find it?
Sea eel is also delicious, but it also jumps around in the pan.
Wendy,
I've had the turtle in soup too. Wonderful!!

My husband and I had the closest thing to words last night that we have ever had. (reminder: I was raised a Witness, he basically knew nothing before meeting me) Since a lot of us feel the Society is cracking down even harder on association with df'ed and da'ed he feels I should be honest with my parents about why I left, i.e. I don't think it is the "truth".
I feel it would be a moot point. I don't think they really want to know the truth about how I feel anyway. He feels it could be my last opportunity to save them. I feel, it would cut them off forever. Any opinions. (in all honesty I think the cutting off forever is just around the corner regardless of what I do or say) -

I'm going to jump in here even though I am pretty much in the dark when it comes to H20. Just on a personal note. I have compared leaving to death or divorce. If anyone has ever been through professional counseling, it is a known fact that one must go through stages. Every individual must go through these stages in order to deal properly with their loss.
I think each and every one of us goes through these same stages when we leave or even drift from the org. and begin to question. It becomes such an integral part of our lives that when we lose it, it is like experiencing the death of a close loved one or a divorce. You can't skip any of the steps in progress. Otherwise at some point in time, it comes back to visit.
We are each in different stages of the progress. Our responsiblity to each other is to give love and support. If there is a measure of understanding, all the better.

PLH,
I have to agree with you. We have a very different belief system from most people but it works for us.
Frenchy,
I can definitely relate to what you are saying. I feel very guilty sometimes about the people "I helped into the truth". Very helpless.
I tried to be honest with them too. But now they won't even speak to me. Very sad. Very frustrating.
